Gunar Yadi
Eind augustus 1995 was ik in Padang toen het konvooi van Hare Majesteit Koningin Beatrix en entourage de hoofdweg van Padang naar het noorden passeerden. Langs de weg in Air Tawar en Tabing zag ik scholieren met hun leerkrachten vol enthousiasme en vreugde naar de vorstin en haar gezelschap zwaaien, velen met de rood-witte en sommigen met de rood-wit-blauwe vlaggen in de hand. Dat de koningin der Nederlanden en haar stoet een hartelijke ontvangst in het land van de Minangkabauers kregen, was een onvergetelijk blik. (Lees verder).
Wassenaar — As a national event, SIDH celebrated the National Education Day 2019 at its campus on Thursday, 2nd May 2019.
The celebration first proceeded with Flag Saluting Ceremony in which SIDH’s Principal, Mr Udik Ripul delivered the formal address of the Minister of Education and Culture, Prof. Muhadjir Effendy on the anniversary occasion.
It was subsequently followed with singing, poem, poetry and speech contests. All students took part in the competition. The event was inter-spaced with collective lunch of traditional style.
Wassenaar – It was an honour for SIDH to welcome eight delegates from the Mother Tongue Languages Branch of Singapore’s Ministry of Education on Wednesday morning, 23 January 2019. Headed by Assistant Professor M. Faishal Ibrahim, Senior Parliamentary Secretary Ministry of Social and Family Development and Ministry of Education, the delegation wished to learn best practices on the curriculum and teaching of Bahasa Indonesia and the nurture of Indonesianness at SIDH. It is related to the development programme of Malay language education in Singapore.
Besides a sharing forum in the Teachers’ Room, the delegates also observed how the Indonesian language was taught and discussed in the classrooms.
Also present were Education and Cultural Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy, Din Wahid, Ph.D., SIDH Principal, Mr Udik Ripul, Vice Principal, Mr Gunar Yadi, SIDH teachers: Ms Nia Siti Sunariah, Dr. Safreni Candra Sari, Ms Nurna Jansen, Ms Djena, and Ms Dessy Nataliani.
Indonesian Embassy – H.E. Ambassador Puja formally installed new members of SIDH Committee, Friday evening, 18th January 2019. The newly installed members were Mr Syarifuddin Abdullah, Mr M. Yusuf, Ms Roes Dina Martha and Ms Roeena Mahdi. The news members were to substitute the members who had been resigned and completed the assignment at the Indonesian Embassy.
In his address, Ambassador Puja underscored that the rejuvenated Committee would boost the quality of services offered by SIDH to prosper as national and multicultural school that nurtures Indonesianness.
Also present in the ceremony were our DCM, Mr Fikri Cassidy, Education and Cultural Attaché, Mr Din Wahid, Ph.D., Ms Fitri, Mr Gunar Yadi, Ms Sisilia, Committee Chairperson, Mr Helen, Committee Treasurer, Mr Moeljowijono and other members of SIDH Committee.
