Wassenaar, 15 September 2015 — To diversify the extracurricular activities at SIDH, our Principal, Mr. Budi Wahyu Rianto opted to provide tennis training programme for our students. The programme is also to respond to the pro-bono offer made by Mr. Dick Zwaan, a Dutchman who was born in the former Dutch East Indies (nowadays Indonesia).

The programme was officially launched by Mr. Rianto on Tuesday, 15 September 2015 and Mr. Zwaan becomes the trainer. The kids took part in this first day of training frolicsomely and enthusiastically.

Wassenaar, 5 September 2015 — This year’s Indonesian Festival 2015 was a very special  for Sekolah Indonesia Den Haag (SIDH) as we celebrated our 50th anniversary. In accordance with this Golden Jubilee SIDH was granted to set up a separate stall. Compared to other stalls it was quite large because it was only second to the size of of the main stage located on the other side of the building.

Our stall was sectioned into three parts: one for Bahasa Indonesia Course and Distance Learning Programme – Primary School, one for robotics and drones, and one for alumni. In between there were also commercial corners showcasing students portfolios, food products and library items.

For the outdoor cultural programme SIDH fielded the angklung ensemble, a band performance and two dances; while for indoor performance SIDH displayed gamelan music in which our Principal, Mr. Budi Wahyu Rianto played the kendang.

SIDH’s participation  in the Indonesian Festival 2015 reflects our full commitment to involve in the promotion of Indonesian culture in The Netherlands and Europe.

Ambassadorial Residence Wassenaar — Under a light drizzle the flag-hoisting ceremony to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence ran flawlessly yet solemnly, in the vicinity of our Ambassadorial Residence, 17 August 2015.

Our Colour Guard squad featured wonderfully during the ceremony. It really seemed to give a ‘colour’ to the event. Apart from that, our aubade team which consisted of the remaining students plus the teachers also played their role awesomely.

Indonesian Embassy – The Hague — Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Indonesia, Mr. Ibnu Wahyutomo, formally inaugurated the Colour Guard squad in the Nusantara Hall of the embassy, on Friday, 14 August 2015. All members of the 19-strong squad this year were our students; led by Verrel Pranandino Kadarusman. This event was covered by Renne R.A Kawilarang of the Vivanews, an Indonesian media.
