Wassenaar, 4 October 2014 — On the occasion of the Feast of the Sacrifice, 10 Dzulhijjah 1435 Hijri, SIN Wassenaar conveys this heartfelt message: “Happy Eid al-Adha, Eid Mubarak” to members of our school community who celebrate it.
Wassenaar — To round up the sequence of events to celebrate the 69th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence of 17 August 1945 the Folk-festival of Pesta Rakyat was organised by our Embassy in the vicinity of our campus, 6 September 2014. It was formally launched by H.E. Ambassador Retno L.P. Marsudi. H.E. Ambassador was accompanied by the Mayor of Wassenaar, Mr. Jan Hoekema. Following the norm, the festival this year also offered the visitors with abundant of typical Indonesian cuisines, drinks, and delicacies; various cultural performance and promotional booths.
SIN Wassenaar’s students entertained the audiences with angklung couched by our Principal, Mr. Budi Wahyu Rianto, singing and acoustic music, dance, and gamelan trained by Mr. F.X. Suhardi Djojoprasetyo. Some students also took part in various contests.

When? Spread out over the year we have 3 rounds, each round containing 10 lessons of 2 hours,
Each Saturday. Starting 10.00-12.30 with a coffee/tea and snack break.
Location? Rijksstraatweg 679 in Wassenaar, the Indonesian School Building 2nd floor
How to learn to speak? By reading texts, Grammar. Listening Audio. Then through simulation in front of the class.
How many classes? Beginners and an Intermediate Class.
Costs? 150 Euro for each round incl. coffee, tea and snacks.
Lesson material? Copy books 10 Euro

Wassenaar — To refresh, update and refine the know-how and skills on Curriculum 2013 after similar programme in December 2013, our teachers received another workshop organised at our school on 25-29 August 2014. This time teachers from the Indonesian School of Belgrade also took part.
Six delegates from Jakarta were present in The Netherlands for the programme: Erry Utomo, PhD; Wulan Cahyaningsih; Bawuk Suparlan; Ana Lisdiana; Any Suhaeni; and Riya Nurhadi.
It was launched officially by Prof. Bambang Hari Wibisiono, PhD., Attache of Education and Culture at the Indonesian Embassy, on Monday morning, 25 August 2014. It was very beneficial and the participants actively engaged in the activities from day-one to the end.
Wassenaar — SIN Wassenaar received Dr. Thamrin Kasman, Secretary General of Primary Education Directorate of Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, Wednesday, 20 August 2014. Welcomed by Mr. Budi Wahyu Rianto and some teachers and students, Dr. Kasman extended supervision and evaluated the effectiveness of the blockgrant subsidy of the Primary Education Directorate.
During his visit Dr. Kasman was also presented with the progress of Robotic programme at SIN Wassenaar. It was followed with a discussion on the proposed development of the course.
