Breda, 19 September 2013 — It was a fantastic opportunity for Seamolec (Southeast Asia Ministries of Education Organisation Regional Open Learning Centre), SMKN 3 OKU and SIN Wassenaar to visit the Steve Jobs School in Breda. It is one the 11 newly established schools in The Netherlands which is based on the use of iPad and multimedia in learning activities and process. Undisputable the Apple technology is almost exclusively used in this concept and system of education.
The Indonesian delegates: Mr. Prayitno of Seamolec, Mr. Riadi of SMKN 3 OKU and Mr. Deni of SIN Wassenaar were warmly welcomed by Mr. Kleinpaste of the Steve Jobs school. It was a special interest for Seamolec as it aspires to develop and estabalish similar concept of education in Indonesia and SIN Wassenaar is expected to play the role as a vocal point.
Beyond sharing experience and discussions, a guided tour was also organised to directly observe the context of learning. The visit itself a very valuabe learning process. Furthemore it opened the opportunity for collaboration with SIN Wassenaar and partner schools in Indonesia.
We highly appreciate the open-arms greeting and gesture from the Steve Jobs school of Breda.
