Wassenaar, 7 July 2013 — The Indonesian Embassy congratulated the Indonesian School in The Netherlands for the achievement in the 2012/2013 National Final Examination. The release can be perused at this link. 

Wassenaar — SIN Wassenaar availed itself as the start and finish point for the Indonesian Embassy “Happy Cycling” activity which was organised for the Embassy staff and families, 22 June 2013. The special occasion was held as part of the 67th anniversary of the Indonesian Independence,17 August 2013 in The Netherlands. Around 30 families took part in the programme with the route circling the area of “Green Wassenaar”. SIN Wassenaar was also well represented in the activity.

Wassenaar, 23 June 2013 — We have received a glad tiding that Mr. Saidan, SIN Wassenaar’s former director (2007-2010), has been appointed as the new director of SMAN 1 Sumpiuh, East Banyumas, 19 June 2013. Prior to this new mandate Mr. Saidan had gone through tight selection process.

SMAN 1 Sumpiuh is a large school, with 27 classes altogether. Geographically, Sumpiuh is closer to Kebumen, Mr. Saidan’s native hometown.

With this new assignment and trust we warmly congratulate Mr. Saidan and wishing him every success. We are certainly open for sharing ideas and best practices.

Wassenaar — Monday, 10 June 2013 SIN Wassenaar warmly welcomed Anindita R.L. and her friends: Aga S.N., Diesta D.P., Etasia A., and Ragil P.D. They are currently students of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Airlangga, Surabaya. Laras spent her Junior High School period at the Indonesian School in The Netherlands as her father, an Indonesian naval officer, took part in the building of Indonesian Navy corvettes in Vlissingen. Returning to Indonesia, Laras continued her Senior High School education in Surabaya and afterward was admitted to study at Airlangga. Throughout the years after leaving The Netherland Laras has missed her memorable times at our school which she loves a lot.

The students called on at our campus after participating in the International Student Congress of (bio)Medical Science (ISCOMS) 2013 organised at University Medical Center of Groningen,  4-7 June 2013.

According to the University of Groningen ISCOMS is one of the world’s leading student conferences in the (bio)medical sciences. The team from Airlangga succeeded to take part in the oral presentation session on 6 June 2013 with the research titled ‘Daily Consumption of Pomegranate Juice as Antioxidant on Mandibular Bone Remodeling in Post-Menopausal Osteoporosis.’
