FAREWELL TO OUR P.E. TEACHERS
SIN Wassenaar’s Student Hostel, 7 September 2012 — Commencing their duty as the Embassy Guards in March 2010, it is time for the Guards to return to their respective units in various garrisons of the Special Forces of the Indonesia Army. To us as well it sadly means that we had to pay farewell to Mr. A. Pranoto, Mr. Jumadi, Mr. Sumadi, and Mr. Zainuddin who were also our teachers in Physical Education.
A farewell gathering was convened at the Student Hostel, on Friday evening, 7 September 2012. Mr. Disastra and Ms. Arbayah Kumalawati became the hosts of this programme, attended by students and representatives of teachers and parents.
We wish all of you every success and we thank you very much for your dedication to our school community.

SIN WASSENAAR WELCOMES GUESTS AND VISITORS OF “FOLK FESTIVAL” 2012
Wassenaar Campus, 1 September 2012 — SIN Wassenaar has been the venue for the annual event of the Indonesian Embassy – The Hague, the Folk Festival, since 2008. The feast itself is part of commemorating Indonesian Independence in The Netherlands aimed at promoting many aspects of Indonesia to the public in the country. It also reflects an effort to maintain and deepen Indonesia-Netherlands special relationship and warm friendship.
SIN Wassenaar as an integral part of the Indonesian Embassy wish to welcome our honourable guests and visitors of this year’s Folk Festival. Let’s have enjoyable and memorable experience of Indonesian hospitality cum typical food and drinks on this sunny day.
SOCIALISATION ON TEACHERS’ QUALITY AND WELL-BEING AT SIN WASSENAAR
Wassenaar Campus — SIN Wassenaar welcomed Ms. Ulfa Mahmudah and Mr. Hadi Wuryanto, officials of the Directorate for Teachers and Non-teaching Staff Capacity Building (P2TK), Directorate General of Primary Education, Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, Friday morning, 31 August 2012. They were accompanied by the Attache of Education and Culture at the Indonesian Embassy, The Hague, Mr. Ramon Mohandas.
The objective of this visit was to socialise the new regulations on capacity building and well-being of teachers and non-teaching staff of Indonesian Schools in Foreign Countries (SILN). Discussions on the delicate and relevant issues followed the presentation, as well as filling-in assessment questionnaires for the Attache of Education and Culture, School Director, and representatives of teachers and students, and exchange of presents. The meeting was very useful and has improved our understanding on the the progress of regulations on teachers and non-teaching staff capacity building.
