SIN WASSENAAR DELEGATION IN THE SILN 2012
Wassenaar Campus — After one year void, the Ministry of Education and Culture resumed organising the Appreciation and Creation Competition for the students of Indonesian Schools in Foreign Countries (SILN). This year it was in Denpasar, Bali, 20-25 May 2012. As this year’s event fell under the auspice of the Directorate of Primary Education, the participants were from Primary and Junior High Schools.
For the competition, SIN Wassenaar fielded:
- Alya Hiyyarrahmah (Singing Competition, Primary School)
- Sarah Fadilah Boll (English Story-telling Comepetion, Junior High School)
- Roichan Carwanda (Singing Competition, Junior High School)
- Anissa Mina Laksmiputri (Group Dance Competition, Junior High School)
- Kitana Pires (Group Dance Competition, Junior High School)
- Fadhillah Rachmo Rosmasari (Group Dance Competition, Junior High School)
They were accompanied and chaperoned by our Director, Ms. Arbayah Kumalawati and Mr. Iyug.
Few days earlier, our delegation had performed the rehearsals at our school, attended by the parents and school community, which we considered really amazing.
However, at the closing ceremony in Denpasar, our delegation wasn’t in the lucky few. We ware satisfied nevertheless that we believed our students had tried their outmost during the programme and they had the chance to meet and know delegates from other SILN. We are also grateful to those who had assisted and helped in the preparation of our delegation.
