SIDH COLOUR GUARD FINELY HOIST THE RED & WHITE
Wassenaar, 17 August 2016 — This year’s flag ceremony to celebrate 71st Indonesian independence in The Netherlands was centred in the back garden of our school. Under the lead of H.E. Ambassador Puja it was the first time — after many decades — such solemn event organised by the Indonesian Embassy in the premises of our school.
Like the previous years, all members of the Colour Guard were the ‘lucky fews’ among SIDH students who had been selected by a special committee from the Office of Defence Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy.
According to H.E. Ambassador the decision to organise the ceremony at SIDH was based on several reasons. Firstly it was to boost the nationalism of our students. They are the future vanguards of our nation. Secondly it was to promote the school to the general public to increase enrollment intakes. Thirdly it was to gradually improve SIDH’s facility condition.
