Dapodik SIDH

Amsterdam — SIDH Primary School (upper classes) students participated in the contextual learning programme by visiting NEMO Science Museum, Amsterdam, 5 April 2017. During the field study activity they could experience hands-on certain knowledge and experiments of natural sciences and how they were applied as technology.

This programme was collaboratively organised by Bu Dessy and the pupils themselves. Most of the cost was covered with the profit they collected few weeks earlier through the entrepreneurship event they held by selling snacks and drinks.

Wassenaar — As part Wassenaar’s community, SIDH took part in the charity activity “Wandelen voor Water”, organised in Wassenaar, 23 March 2017.

From our school community we managed to collect a symbolic amount of money to be donated to the Stichting Kinderhulp Indonesië. This foundation would subsequently channel the collected donation to help building clean water and hygienic facilities at several primary schools in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Along with about 800 other students from 9 schools in Wassenaar, 13 of our students participated in the return “Walk for Water” starting from our school to the town-hall of Wassenaar Municipality. Each participant brought some bottles of water in her/his backpack that we received from the organiser. It symbolised the effort carried out by children in countries where water is scarce that in order to get clean water they had to walk around averagely 6 kilometres from home to the water source.

The participating students from our school were: Hasan, Bintang, Almira, Rahcman, Yudistira, Naya, Patia, Berekhya, Hannah, Kamila, Reza, Avriel, and Fairuz Kamilah. They were accompanied by Mr Ripul dan Mr Yadi.

At the front yard of the town-hall the participants were exclusively welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador, H.E. I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja. For the first time Indonesia received the honorary place in the event. H.E. Ambassador was accompanied by our Attaché of Education and Culture, Prof. Bambang Hari Wibisono. The stage was toned up by Gert-Jan van den Ende, a Dutch actor, componist and clown, who is also famous as Bobbie from the Ernst, Bobbie en de Rest Kindernet TV programme. The total collected donation amounted to €30.000,00.

The Stichting Kinderhulp Indonesië, Ms Aty Boers and on behalf of the organiser, Mr Rolf Meursing thanked SIDH and in return Mr Ripul expressed gratitude to the organiser that SIDH had been able to involve actively in the event. Through Fairuz Kamilah and us the Stichting also received some amount of donation from Toko Nusantara (Mr Didin Fahrudin), The Hague.

Wassenaar – To proceed with the proposal to establish a sport hall for SIDH, we welcomed the Wassenaar Municipality Councillor responsible for Social Affairs, Youth and Education, Ms Inge Zweerts de Jong, 22 March 2017. For the occasion we welcomed as well the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Indonesian Embassy, Mr Ibnu Wahyutomo and our Attaché of Education and Culture, Prof. Bambang Hari Wibisono.

Also present in the meeting a member of SIDH Committee, Mr Andrei T. Marentek (our alumnus and Indonesian Embassy home-staff), SIDH Committee Chairperson, Ms Helen Setiawati, Ms Roeena Mahdi (Code 90 architect/our alumna) and Mr Soedirman Patmo (Code 90 architect). SIDH was represented by our Principal, Mr Ripul, Vice Principal, Mr Yadi, 2 teachers: Bu Djena and Pak Deni, and 2 students: Kitana and Jacelynn.

Considering to obtain a ‘surrounding-permit’ would be uneasy and take long time, Ms Zweerts offered some  short-term solutions for our students to do sport during the autumn and winter at a sport hall of a nearby school or sport club. Another possible option is to place a bubble hall in our school vacinity. For a school in the Netherlands, one of the standards to be met is a sport facility for the students.

Wassenaar — Complying with the Standard Operating Procedure outlined by Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, SIDH organised the Nationally Standardised School Examination starting from today, 20 March 2017. It was for our Year 12’s students and was kicked off by our Principal, Mr Ripul.

8 SIDH students took the final test. The examined subjects were Religion Education, Civics, History, Biology, Geography, Physics, Economics, Chemistry and Sociology. SIDH took stringent steps to guarantee the administration to be fraudulent-free and precisely running according to the SOP.

At the same moment, 7 our Year 9 Junior High School students took part in the CBT simulation, supervised by the proctor, Dr. Safreni.

Wassenaar — SIDH kindly welcomed the delegation of SMAN 1 Bogor in its campus on Wednesday morning, 1 March 2017. The 25-strong entourage from Bogor was co-led by Delima Hasri Darmawan, Ph.D. (School Committee Chairperson) and Sri Eningsih Meidiarto, M.Pd. (Principal of SMAN 1 Bogor). It represented the students, alumni, parents and tour guide. The theme of their trip was ‘SMAN 1 Bogor Goes to Europe 2017’.

At our school the delegation was received with Welcoming Dance. Representing SIDH, our Principal, Mr Ripul in his welcoming speech extended the gratitude to the SMAN 1 delegates for visiting our school. He also touched on SIDH achievements so far. On their turns, Delima, Ph.D. and Dra. Eningsih expressed their appreciation to SIDH for the auspicious opportunity. They both hoped the good relations would sustain and offered the invitation for a return visit for SIDH to Bogor.

The activity was interspaced with dance performance by our Primary School students and presentation of SIDH and SMAN 1 Bogor’s profiles by the students. A kacapi performance by a Bogor student and group singing of some hits usual to friendship visits were also held. The visit was closed with photo sessions.

We would like to thank Bu Nurna, Bu Nathalie, Bu Djena, Bu Emma, all teachers, Mr Mul, Bu Vanana, Nadia and Lovina for preparing our students and the event on our behalf.

Courtesy call to H.E. Ambassador

Early afternoon, from SIDH the delegation was ushered by Mr Ripul and Mr Yadi to the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague. At the embassy they were welcomed by H.E. Ambassador I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja and our Attaché of Education and Culture, Prof. Bambang Hari Wibisono, Ph.D.

During the courtesy call Mr Puja – in his unique manner of interpersonal savvy – shared his professional path as a career diplomat to the delegates. He also shared encouragement especially to the young students. It was a very exceptional learning opportunity for them.
