Wassenaar Campus — SIN Wassenaar is closed on Thursday, 5 May 2011 in since it is nationally observed as a public holiday in The Netherlands, the Bevrijdingsdag. On Friday, 6 May 2011 the school opens as usual.
The Bevrijdingsdag or the Day of Liberation refers to the capitulation of the German Army in The Netherlands to The Allied Forces. A day earlier, the nation observes 2 minute-long silence at 20.00 to remember the victims of the gruesome war (Dodenherdenking).
