“GARDEN PARTY” FOR XII CLASS FAREWELL

Wassenaar Student Hostel — On the day they have just finished the final exams, students of the XII Class together with OSIS organised a farewell party, Thursday afternoon, 21 April 2011. It was designed as a garden party, at the premises of the Student Hostel, not far from our campus. The major sponsorship of this event was the Hostel Matron, Ms. Sugiarty, as another aim of the programme was to bring the hostel community closer to the public and parents. The parents of XII Class were invited and present.

Brief speeches were addressed by the Attaché of Education, Mr. Ramon Mohandas, SIN Wassenaar’s Director, Ms. Arbayah Kumalawati, parents’ representative, Mr. Endang Arif Syarifudin, and students’ representatives. The event also covered exhibitions of selected students works: from academic, musical, to peagantry, and other stand-up performances. As that Thursday was also the Kartini Day, a student recited a special tribute  and commemoration narration of the Women Hero.

Delicious and tasty food and drinks were served during this hospitable and enjoyable programme. The pleasant smell of Indonesian cuisine filled the surrounding air, and some neighbours were welcomed as well.
