INDONESIAN EMBASSY AND SIN WASSENAAR FEATURE REMARKABLY IN “INTERNATIONAL DAY 2011”
The International School of The Hague Campus —- Indonesian Embassy of The Hague unofficially represented by some parents and cultural delegation from SIN Wassenaar featured exceptionally during the “International Day” organised by The International School of The Hague, Saturday, 26 March 2011.
Located in the ISH Campus, the activity started from 12.00 and ended around 16.00. The programme included a Flag Parade, International Food Fair such as Spanish Tapa’s en Paella, French Bistro, Italian Trattoria, as well as Indonesian, Thai, Singaporean typical cuisines, used books sales, sports and games, and many more. SIN Wassenaar’s cultural delegation performed in the cultural exhibition fielding the “Nusantara Mixed Dances Group” and the “Nusantara Music Group”. These groups were able to stun the audience with their gracefulness and beauty.
During the “look around session” on Friday afternoon, 25 March 2011, we were told by Ms. Leen Maes, ISH’s Community and Event Officer, SIN Wassenaar was the only international school in The Hague that sent students to perform in this year’s event. Most of the profits are earmarked to help building a school in Japan.
It was a great opportunity and honour for SIN Wassenaar to participate in the programme. We are also grateful to our Embassy in The Hague for the full support to SIN Wassenaar for the event, especially that of from Ms. Nila Hadi and her team.
