INDONESIAN EMBASSY ORGANISE “PESTA RAKYAT”2013 AT SIN WASSENAAR

Wassenaar, 7 September 2013 — The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands anew organised the “Pesta Rakyat” 2013 as the concluding round of events to commemorate the 68th Indonesian independence in The Netherlands at our campus on Saturday, 7 September 2013. The successful and joyful event was officially kicked-off by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Mrs. Retno L.P. Marsudi. In her opening remarks H.E. Ambassador emphasized on the warm relationship between Indonesia and The Netherlands. She also welcomed the visitors to enjoy their day during the feast.

This colossal event is open to the public who can relish cultural events and performances as well as taste typical Indonesian cuisines and drinks from various food stalls, kid-zone, tombola, and many more.

Beyond as the venue, this year SIN Wassenaar also took part in Tari Pendet, Tari Saman, singing, poem recital (Aku of Chairil Anwar), angklung and gamelan performances which were able to mesmerize the audience. We are truly proud of our students who performed very awesomely. For the achievement we would like to thank Pak Budi, Bu Rima, Bu Reni, Pak Wariso, Bu Rida, Bu Dessy, Bu Ririn, Bu Emma, Bu Djena, and Mas Balok and other dedicated teachers for the preparation and training of our students. Finally, we would like to convey a special token of gratitude to H.E. Ambassador and the Embassy for the precious opportunity of expression and support.
