ISI PADANG PANJANG PROVIDES ARTS WORKSHOP AT SIN WASSENAAR
Wassenaar Campus — The civitas academica SIN Wassenaar received workshop in arts from the delegation of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Padang Panjang, Wednesday afternoon, 4 April 2012. The delegation consisted of ISI academic staff and around 15 students, led by Mr. Hanefi, the Dean of the Performing Arts Faculty. They had previously performed at the stage of the Indonesian Pasar Malam (PMI), 29 March – 1 April 2012, in The Hague.
The workshop itself has been part of special studium generale at SIN Wassenaar from experts or team of experts at SIN Wassenaar, and organised through a cooperation with our Attache of Education and Culture, Indonesian Embassy The Hague. The students were divided into 3 groups according to their preference: dance, pencak silat, and music. The method of engagement applied was “learning by doing”. It was a beautiful opportunity for our students to obtain first-hand knowledge and experience from experts and practitioners.
