My Diary in London
Miss. A.K. Sarwono, II SMU, May 9th 2005.
It was late December at the time. My family and I and some of my father’s friends went to London. We departed at December 30th 2004. We got there by car. Our driver drove the car to a station in France. The car just got into the train and we were simply waiting for 30 minutes, after that we arrived in England.
On the way to London, we stopped by in the Bluewater. Bluewater is a shopping centre. It has 330 stores and 40 restaurants, bar and a 13-screen cinema. We ate our dinner there and after that we went shopping. And then we continued our journey to London. We stayed in my father’s friend house.
On December 31st 2004 we went to the Oxford Street for shopping. We went back to the house in afternoon to eat dinner and get ready for the New Year’s Eve. After we finished our dinner we left for spending our New Year’s Eve close to the Big Ben. Actually we planned to go to the Trafagal Square but it was very crowded at the time. Around the Big Ben it was also very crowded but not as crowded as at the Trafagal Square area. There were a lot of drunken people out there. When it was 12 o’clock everyone was yelling by saying “Happy New Year
