Two weeks ago after “Shalat Jum’at” I went home to prepare the stuff we needed for a weekend holiday at het Vannenbos with my parents and other families from our Embassy. We left at 18.15. Before that my father had called one of his friends (Uncle Widjang) to ride in a convoy. It took about 1 our 42 minutes, and there was no traffic jam but the traffic was a little bit dawdling.
Upon our arrival we had to find the keys of the bungalow and my father parked his car first, and then he got the keys. I was waiting in the park…and I just felt boring, and coincidently Arif was there, and I brought two rackets and shuttlecock so I played badminton with Arif. When my father approached us, we had to stop playing and got back to the car, and we searched the block of the bungalow that was being reserved for us. Not for long, we found it and got inside and brought along our belongings. After that I helped Uncle Widjang bringing his stuff into the bungalow.
After that I felt so tired, and I had to get my bag first to stay anywhere else because at my father’s there was no space available anymore. Uncle Widjang asked me to stay with him as he had room vacant. I spent the night with Arif and Adnan, Uncle Widjang’s eldest son. He was so funny and always happy and laughed.
The next morning I woke up and I got shower but Uncle Widjang was not there. He was at my father’s. I went my father’s bungalow and had breakfast too. Arif also woke up.
Uncle Widjang and my father rented bikes for Arif and me. We rode around and met GP (Adzhim’s nickname). We also met Tasya, Nia, and Indah. My father and some others go to Mass Mechellene at Begium but I stayed at the park with my friends. We rode all day long around the park. The weather was very nice at that time so I really enjoyed riding around the park. In the afternoon my father got back home from Belgium.
After that Adnan wanted to swim so we went to the swimming pool nearby together with Uncle Widjang and my father. We swam till 9 pm before we went back to the bungalow and I just felt very tired.
The next day I went to het Vannenbos’ plaza with Arif and GP where we played ding-dong and we got into a duck-shaped boat and we had to turn the pedals to row the boat moving around the small lake.
We went back to The Hague on Sunday, at 13.00 but we went to the factory outlet first at Roermoend. We bought something there. The outlet factory is a nice place even just to hang around. We spent about three hours there. It was so exciting and very nice. And that’s all about my holiday in het Vannenbos.
