My Trip to “Pelabuhan Ratu

When I was 9 years old, I went to West Java with my grandpa, grandma, and my aunt. I had a lot of experiences there because I could see anything what happened there a long time ago. The famous story was about Nyi Roro Kidul. Her father was a king. I don’t know much about the history of that kingdom, but I heard a fragmented story about it from the guide when I was there.
After a long trip by bus from Jakarta, we arrived at a hotel, and my aunt’s friend gave information about the province and gave the key of a hotel room for us to stay. The hotel wasn’t so big but the scenery there was amazingly beautiful; it was the most beautiful scenery that I ever saw. If we wanted to walk away, we could walk on there without sandals or shoes because the way was made of white sand. And after we put our stuff in the room, we joined my aunt’s friends whose number was many because that was an event of my aunt’s office. We ate some traditional food and drank tea without sugar because most of the people from West Java don’t give a sugar in their tea.
Yeah, it’s nice to know about the traditional food from there. But my grandma and grandpa had known the traditions of the West Java because they were from West Java too. Finally, I went to the nice bed, because I was so tired to have a long conversation with other children who were at my age.
The next morning, after we had breakfast we went to the hill nearby. The people must be above 10 years old to go up there, but I was underage. Fortunately I could go there because I was almost 10 years old. And we went up there until 2 hours. My grandpa didn’t look tired; I had thought he wasn’t strong enough to go there as he’s too old for that. But I was wrong; my grandpa was strong like a young boy although he was already old.
At the top of the mountain we went to the famous cave there. I was very scared inside they cave because it was so dark and no lamp. I couldn’t see anything. We only brought a flash light. I never saw a place like that, that’s the first time when I came to such a dark place. In Indonesian we called it “goa
