OBSERVING THE YOUTH PLEDGE 2015 AT SIDH

Wassenaar — Through a special ceremony attended by teachers and students the Indonesian School of The Hague observed the 87th anniversary of the Youth Pledge, 28 October 2015. On behalf of our students Nastiti Ayu Sayekti solemnly recited the Youth Pledge’s resolution. In his turn, our Principal, Mr. Budi Wahyu Rianto challenged the students with profound questions that they didn’t need to answer today yet someday in the future: “Is there any difference between those who have comprehended the Youth Pledge’s resolution and those who do not?” And “For those who were born here, what can you contribute to Indonesia when you are grown up as your presence in The Netherlands thanks to your Indonesian parents and grandparents?”

On that day we were also entertained with a special lunch provided by Mr. Edy Sulistyadi, the Defence Attaché and parent of our former students: Nafisa, Bintang and Hafsa who would return to Indonesia. We would like to thank and wish Mr. Sulistyadi and family for every success.
