PELUNCURAN “DIGILIB” SIN WASSENAAR
With the advance of ICT technologies and easy accesses and facilities of internet, Indonesian School in The Netherlands, with the support of Indonesian Department of National Education and The Indonesian Embassy in The Hague – the Netherlands, is preparing a digital library. It is a Library in which collections are stored in digital formats ( as opposed to print, microform, or other media ) and accessible by computers.
The digital contents are stored locally in our 750 GB server and can be accessed remotely via computer networks. This digital library is, to some extents, in accordance with the attempt of the Indonesian government to provide every Indonesian student in every corner of the country as well as in every corner of the globe, with affordable and qualified books, if possible gratis.
The Government c.q., Department of National Education, is now launching and providing us with Digital/ Electronic books that can be accessed in the official website http://bse.depdiknas.go.id. The development and accomplishment of our Digital Library will be available soon as an attempt to give ‘prima service’ to our school community as well as other stakeholders.
