SI OF THE HAGUE COMMENCES THE FIRST SEMESTER 2015/2016

Wassenaar — The Indonesian School of The Hague (formerly the Indonesian School of Wassenaar) kicked off the first day of 2015/2016 school year on Monday, 27 July 2015. In his address, our Principal, Mr. Budi Wahyu Rianto, greeted the members of our school community who celebrated the Eid Al-Fitr 2015. He then expressed his appreciation to our teachers and students who had come to start the first day. A short ‘halal bihalal’  was carried out afterwards.

Another point was that all diplomats’ kids from our embassy and many of other students were accompanied by their parents to school on that first day. It seemed to respond the appeal made by our Minister of Education and Calture, Mr. Anies Baswedan to do so.

Up to the 70th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence of 17 August 2015 the schooldays were filled with practices of various activities: colour guard company, aubade group, angklung and initial lessons in classrooms.
