SIDH APPRECIATES SAUNG ANGKLUNG UDJO CONCERT IN MUSEON THE HAGUE

The Hague — SIDH was awarded with a privilege to see the Saung Angklung Udjo concert held in Museon, The Hague, Wednesday evening, 25 November 2015. The special invitation came from the Office of Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy. SIDH delegated teacher and student representatives of 40 strong to attend the concert.

The visitors, mainly Indonesian and Dutch communities, could enjoy the spectacular angklung performance after brief refreshment. Beyond The Netherlands, Saung Angklung Udjo also organised tours to Europe and Turkey.

The concert included angklung plays and dances as well as a brief angklung workshop for the audience. One of the most valuable things in the event was that the workshop participating audience could retain the quality angklung instrument they used during the workshop for free. In general it was a prized evening for our delegates to present in such event.
