SIDH PROMOTES INDONESIA THROUGH ANGKLUNG AT HARLEEMMERMEER LYCEUM, HOOFDDORP
Hoofddorp — Through the mediation of Indonesia Nederland Youth Society (INYS) SIDH promoted an aspect of Indonesian culture namely angklung at the Haarlemmermeer Lyceum in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, 10 December 2015.
Our delegates performed incredible angklung plays which got two thumbs up from the audience. Afterwards an angklung workshop was held for the interested students and parents of the Lyceum. This session was coached by our Seni Budaya teacher, Mrs. Nathalie, assisted by Mrs. Reni and our students.
The occasion was a Pasar Malam event organised by the Lyceum as it would send some of their students to a partner school in Indonesia for student exchanges through foster parents programme.
For the opportunity to promote Indonesia, we were indebted to the Lyceum and other stakeholders in particular to our Education and Culture Attaché, Prof. Bambang Hari Wibisono, Mr. Joost Kerkvliet, Mas Renie and Mbak Dimple Sokartara, and of course, to our splendid delegates.
