SIN WASSENAAR AT A FUTURISTIC SCHOOL IN ROERMOND
Niekée Roermond Campus — It was a very unique opportunity and simultaneously an honour for SIN Wassenaar to accept the invitation from Mr. Wim van Megen, Director of Stichting OWG/Eduliga in Nuenen – Nederland for a benchmark visit to the Niekée Roermond, an extraordinary school belongs to the Stichting Onderwijs Midden-Limburg (SMOL), Wednesday afternoon, 27 April 2011. The 4 school communities under this Catholic and public-leaning philosophy foundation provide education for 9.000 students and run by 1.000 personnels.
For the event SIN Wassenaar was represented by our director, Ms. Arbayah Kumalawati and Mr. Yudha A.P., along with the Attaché of Education of Indonesian Embassy, Mr. Ramon Mohandas.
Beyond the presentation, witnessing the facility of the school, followed by discussions joined by all participants, and closed with a dinner.
The Niekée Roermond is a secondary school designed for innovation and developed with cutting-edge digital learning environment. It applies the concept of lifelong education for the school community.
Mr. Ramon Mohandas and Ms. Arbayah Kumalawati offered a cooperation between selected schools in Indonesia, a proposal that was immediately and warmly welcomed by the Niekée Roermond. The programme is expected to commence this year. Moreover, through our Attaché of Education, the Stichting OWG/Eduliga has recently supplied SIN Wassenaar with certain interactive learning media softwares on free basis.
