SIN WASSENAAR CELEBRATES “NATIONAL TEACHERS DAY” 2012
Wassenaar Campus — On Monday, 26 November 2012, SIN Wassenaar celebrated the 67th anniversary of Indonesian national teachers day which falls on every 25 November.
The celebration at our campus was part of the Flag Ceremony. In her address, SIN Wassenaar, Ms. Arbayah Kumalawati, reiterated the crucial role of teachers for a nation building. She cited an event after Japan capitulated after the 2nd World War where the first question asked by the Emperor Hirohito was “how many teachers survived”, as the first step to rebuild the country out of debris of the destruction.
For the occasion, our teachers also received certificates of appreciation from the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague, and an incentive from Garuda Indonesia District Amsterdam. Another dedication was also offered by our students, through OSIS, a sketch of SIN Wassenaar’s building prepared by A. Helmi Azmi and Royyan A. Dzakiy.
SIN Wassenaar’s march was also endorsed and sung for the first time.
