SIN WASSENAAR IN THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA IN THE NETHERLANDS

Indonesian Ambassador Residence, Wassenaar, 17 August 2011 — SIN Wassenaar had fully and actively participated in the anniverdary celebration of the Republic of Indonesia in The Netherlands. The pinnacle of the the contribution was the fielding of the flag-hoisting team during the 17 August ceremony in which SIN Wassenaar was conspicously “overrepresented”. 11 off the 12 team members were our students: Nadira Febrianti, Lionel Dresta Tambayong, Gery Izack Lekahena, David Julian Tambayong, Dwiki Wahyu Pratama, Hagar Masae, Nikita Kemala Putri, Radika Febriano, Abi Imam As’ari, Glenardi Kemal Putra, and Carlo Nathanael Tambayong; whereas Astri Simbolon represented the International School of The Hague.

Despite a brief period of training as it began after the summer holiday, this team was able to awesomely perform their duty, mostly thanks to the capable trainers team: Major (Army) Yadi Nurfendi and members of the Embassy Guard Unit, and full support of the embassy and SIN Wassenaar.

At the end of the ceremony SIN Wassenaar obtained a prestigious reward as one of our teachers, Mr. Wariso was selected to receive the annual appreciation award from our embassy. It was presented to Mr. Wariso personally by the Chargé d’affaires ad interim, Mr. Umar Hadi.
