SIN WASSENAAR IN THE “SEMAINE CULTURELLE” AT THE LYCÉE VAN GOGH – LA HAYE
French School – The Hague, 12 April 2010 — It is already a fact that the Indonesian School in The Netherlands has been a part of the international community in The Hague, Netherlands and Europe. In this context SIN Wassenaar was officially invited by H.E. Ambassador Mosieur Jean-François Blarel and the French School Proviseur, Madame Thérèse Delaubier to attend the Semaine culturelle (Cultural week) of the French School in The Hague on Tuesday evening, 12 April 2011. Our school was represented by Ms. Arbayah Kumalawati, Mr. War, Mr Gun and Mr. Pribadi.
The theme of this year’s programme is “L’ouverture sur les Pays-Bays” or literally “The Opening of The Netherlands”. During the week, their students worked on many things about The Netherlands in the forms of painting and handycraft works, dances and other cultural activities.
The evening programme included opening ceremony, light food, drinks and French refreshments, outreach talks and courtesy, and followed with the movie-watching session: “Oorlogswinter”, a Dutch film depicting a winter in war time in The Netherlands. It was attended by nine ambassadors and representatives from friendly nations and leaders of international communities in The Hague.
