SIN WASSENAAR WELCOMES INDONESIAN AMBASSADOR TO THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND AND UNESCAP
Wassenaar Campus — Friday afternoon, 10 June 2011, SIN Wassenaar received a special visit of the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, Head of Mission/Permanent Representative to UNESCAP, H.E. Mr. Mohammad Hatta and the Coordinator of Economic Affairs at the Embassy in Bangkok, Mrs. Nana Yuliana. They were accompanied by the Head of Chancery, Indonesian Embassy in The Hague, Mr. Henk Edward Saroinsong.
The specific aim of the visit was to explore and gather information to further expand and related to the plan to relocate the Indonesian School in Bangkok beyond the compound of the Indonesian Embassy in the capital city of Thailand. Getting first-hand information from SIN Wassenaar was thus valuable as it is a good example of an Indonesian school which is located outside the embassy compound; but categorically remains part of the embassy.
In the dialogue H.E. Ambassador asked relevant aspects of SIN Wassenaar, ranging from funding, management, facility, curriculum, methods, programmes, partnership with other schools, relations with stakehoders to teachers’ standard of welfare/recognition issues. A brief inspection of classrooms, labs, and other facilities was also made.
SIN Wassenaar was represented by its Director, Ms. Arbayah Kumalawati, Mr. War, and Mr. Gun during the meeting. On behalf of our civitas academica, Ms. Arbayah conveyed gratitute to H.E. Ambassador and entourage who had, in between, rendered some precious moment of their programme in Germany to call at SIN Wassenaar.
