SIN WASSENAAR’S CULTURAL TEAM ATTAINS THE 1ST PLACE IN “PPI EUROPEAN GATHERING 2011”
Indoor Sportcentrum Eindhoven, 21-22 May 2011 — A group of SIN Wassenaar’s cultural delegation attained the 1st place in the “2011 European Gathering of the Indonesian Students Association (PPI)”, organised in Eindhoven, 21-22 May 2011, under the theme “Togetherness, Sportsmanship, Creativity”.
SIN Wassenaar sent 2 groups, one for the Traditional Dance Competition and the other for the Acoustic Competition categories. For the former category, SIN Wassenaar’s students took the first place with the Tari Sampurodiso; whereas, unfortunately none for the latter category. Both teams had untiringly practiced for the competition and subsidised by the school.
The organiser, PPI Belanda, was successful to secure the presence of 9 out of the 18 expected PPIs: The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, Sweden, Portugal, Russia and Austria. It was attended by almost 300 people.
