SIN WASSENAAR RECEIVES OFFICIALS FROM STAIN SALATIGA

Wassenaar Campus — Friday morning, 27 May 2011, SIN Wassenaar received two officials from Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAIN) Salatiga, Central Java: Mr. Rahmat Hariyadi (Deputy Director for Academic Affairs) and Mr. M. Zulfa (Lecturer, Postgraduate Studies).

During the visit they discussed the possibility for their students (International Programme) to have first-hand overseas experience for the field-teaching programme at SIN Wassenaar. This prospect would be detailed afterwards. A brief meeting and talks with our Director, Ms. Arbayah Kumalawati, and academic staff were also organised.

Both Mr. Hariyadi and Mr. Zulfa are in The Netherlands for a fortnight stay at the KITLV (Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies) in Leiden for literature and archival studies, supporting the completion of their ongoing manuscript on the religious harmony and the Javanese culture.
