STUDENT REPORT: SIN WASSENAAR IN AMBASSADOR’S CUP 2013
Wageningen — On Saturday, 23 November 2013, a delegation from SIN Wassenaar took part in the Ambassador’s Cup 2013. The program was organised by the Indonesian Students Association (PPI) Wageningen. There were various competitions in the programme such as badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and tennis. Our delegation only participated in table tennis, badminton, and volleyball games. For those matches SIN Wassenaar sent Renaldy, Iqbal, Rizky, Firzal, Adri, Syarif, Bilal, Gavril, and Helmi.
Our team departed from The Hague Central Station at 08:00 and arrived in Wageningen at 10.00. First we had to re-register before joining the opening session.
Our table tennis team won the first round 3-0 against a PPI team. In the second round we lost 0-3 against KBRI-2, and in the last match we lost 2-3 from PPI Wageningen. In volleyball we lost in all rounds of the game. It’s it bit better in badminton in which our team completed the qualifying and reached the semi-finals.
After lunch-time our badminton team returned to the court to fight for the semi-finals, and unfortunately they lost with 18-30.
At the end we believed that we had fought with our best effort, although the result remained unsatisfying.
